★The message from Maiko for you who might have visited this website by chance★

Bonjour Madame ou Monsieur, merci de votre visite à mon blogue!

Thank you very much for your visit to my French Chic Fashion blog.

You might just happen to come here looking for some information about French Chic Fashion. If so, I’m very sorry because this bIog is written in Japanese only and I’m sure that you would not understand.

But I don’t want to let you down…I would like to share even a tiny little thing about French Chic style with you, so please spare one minute of your precious time for me❤

The reason why I created this blog is mainly to promote my online shop, where I sell French Chic apparel products for wemen who live in Japan, and to share useful and interesting information about France and fashion with them. French culture is very popular among Japanese people, especially young women.

I know that it’s not only a nationwide phenomenon, but also a worldwide one. As you know, French girls have their ”effortless chic” style with their “je ne sais quoi” quality. It seems like they do nothing special but they look elegant and chic. Why? Since I started this blog, I’ve always wondered what makes the difference and what makes them so special in their fashion.

To answer this question, I try to read almost everyday some articles about French Chic style from several media like WWD, Vogue, Who What Wear, etc. The articles are automatically sent to my email box thanks to Google Alert Daily Digest. I also check Journal du Textile from time to time, which is the No.1 professional journal on textile and garments. You would need to pay for a subscription to access to their contents, but it would be stimulating and worthwhile just to look at pictures of the latest fashion trends from Paris 🙂

If you want to get some specific tips about how to dress like French girls, I recommend you read the books below:

  • “Dress Like a Parisian” (Aloïs Guinut, 2018)

You can learn how to choose the right colors and how to avoid “faut-pas(no-no)”.

  • “PARIS STREET STYLE a guide to effortless chic” (Isabelle Thomas & Frédérique Veysset, 2012)

The interviews are really worth reading.

Through my research, I came to feel that I’ve got some clues to unpack the mystery of French girls. I’m planning to create a blog post or a PDF file about it in the near future. I will publish it on this website in English to share the quintessence of French Chic style with you 🙂

Thank you for reading my message and see you soon!

Je vous remercie de votre lecture. À bientôt!
